Alarm Wins Prestigious Risk Management
Award
It's official! The Alarm CIPFA Risk Management
Benchmarking Club is 'simply the best', having scooped first prize
at the 2011 Risk Management Awards.
The Alarm CIPFA Risk Management
Benchmarking Club, which was launched in 2010, has won the
prestigious award of ‘Best Risk Management Product of the Year’ at
the 2011 Risk Management Awards Gala Dinner, held in London on 16th
November.
Against tough opposition from Datatecnics, Lockton, Marsh Risk
Consulting, Prevenex Europe and Siemens Building Technologies, the
Risk Management Benchmarking Club was singled out for its obvious
impact on improving organisational performance.
The product provides risk management professionals with an in-depth
picture of the maturity of their organisation’s risk management in
order to enable them to further improve its operation. It combines
Alarm’s risk management expertise with CIPFA Information Service’s
successful benchmarking club methodology.
Dr Lynn Drennan CEO of Alarm, said “The Benchmarking Club is a
result of years of work on Alarm’s part to develop performance
indicators for risk management in public service organisations, and
our partnership with CIPFA which has considerable experience in
running a number of benchmarking clubs. We are delighted to have
won this prestigious prize”.
Jon Graham, CIPFA Managing Director, said “This is a brilliant
accolade for a benchmarking club that really helps risk management
professionals deliver the best for their organisations. By working
with Alarm, CIPFA Information Services was able to combine its
technical excellence with Alarm’s risk management expertise to
develop a truly outstanding product”.
It was also a good night for Alarm member Elaine Taylor from Essex
County Council as she collected the Award for ‘Risk Management Team
of the Year – Not for Profit’.
