Public sector seminars 2020

Friday 7 February 2020

Gallagher and BLM would like to invite you to their joint seminars taking place in London on Tuesday 25 February 2020 and Birmingham on Thursday 12 March 2020.

There has been a discernible increase in local authorities moving back into the house building arena – which comes with its own set of unique risk and insurance considerations including environmental, latent defects and loss of future income. In addition to this we have seen the professional indemnity insurance market hardening at a rapid pace most notably within the construction sector. Gallagher construction specialists will review these areas and discuss possible solutions.

One of the most common areas of questioning is assessing limits of liability when procurement, estates or legal colleagues ask the question of their risk and insurance teams. A Gallagher session will look at the main risk factors involved in the assessment of risk as well as reviewing key contract clauses and their insurance ramifications.

Finally the essential `state of the market` review session will be provided addressing issues facing the UK public sector market today and near future delivered by BLM and Gallagher.

This will be in addition to sessions provided by BLM on legal matters affecting the sector including a cyber session giving guidance on key areas of interest such as data breaches and reputation management in the online age and a public sector liability update session considering recent cases and their implications.
