Climate change and the drive for carbon neutrality remain high on the agenda for legislative change. In this webinar, James and Hannah consider proposed changes, compliance with statutory duties and potential risks facing public service organisations. They will explore: 

  • The Environment Bill 2019-21 – what to expect and when 
  • Statutory duties with a particular focus on air pollution, biodiversity net gain and climate change. 
  • Risks and potential liabilities. 

James Fawcett (james.fawcett@brownejacobson.com) is a Partner at Browne Jacobson. James specialises in insurance litigation, with particular expertise in defending clients in employers’ and public liability claims.  

Hannah Payne (hannah.payne@brownejacobson.com) is an Associate at Browne Jacobson. Hannah specialises in public, planning and environmental law and has a particular interest in carbon neutrality. She is experienced in judicial review challenges and advising on issues of vires, decision making and environmental regulation.
