Amidst the global pandemic, climate change is a key issue still effecting our citizens, communities and public service organisations. Following the UK Government declaring a climate crisis in May 2019, many local authorities have started to implement their own plans on how to mitigate and adapt to the changing climate.

Current UK legislation is led by the European Union. As Brexit progresses, new legislation that informs how the UK responds to the crisis is being introduced.

In our latest webinar, Ben Standing, Senior Associate from Browne Jacobson discusses the UK Government's 25 Year Environment Plan and the targets the Government has set. Ben also explores the Environment Bill 2020 which considers how these targets will be met.

Ben provides an update on the progress of the Bill and what this looks like at a local level for councils, registered providers of social housing and other public service organisations.
