Dundee City Council are currently undertaking a review of our motor fleet practices and looking to update our guidance on Driving at Work for both our drivers and managers. We are also looking at the feasibility of exploring the expansion of our use of telematics to measure driver behaviours and target our training programmes based on this information and wondered if other authorities used this method to monitor driver performance.

I would be grateful for feedback from others on their organisation's approach to driver training in respect of speed awareness, hazard awareness and close manoeuvring training.

I would also be interested in other authorities approaches/policies in respect of eyesight testing and alcohol/drug testing in respect of road risk.

Any information/documentation that you can share with me would be appreciated.
